During the course of my life I have explored many Civil War battlefields and have always been profoundly moved as I pondered the suffering and sacrifice of those who fought for the freedoms I now enjoy. It is this sense of gratitude that motivated me to create the posters displayed here. In the future, I want to donate these posters to support the upkeep of the grounds where so many of our ancestors gave their lives....

Shot from Spring of 2007 to late Summer of 2009, I studied the images I had shot to decide which ones might best deliver respectful large format posters of the Antietam and Gettysburg battlefields. As a labor of love, I then massaged the images together and rendered the posters in Adobe Photoshop for output on my large format printer.
